Wipocalypse August and september update

I am doing a combined post showing my progress over the last two months.
August question was
Pick one of the WIP pieces you’ve stitched on this month, and tell us about your stitching journey with the piece.
I started this SAL project this year and have enjoyed the way it has motivated me to get back into my cross stitch.
I am planning on doing more stitching next year.

I managed to get quite a bit of stitching done this month.
Here are the finished daffodils.

I enjoyed doing the gladioli, they were fun to stitch.

Here are the first four designs together. They will be finished as a cushion.

The violets were a little fiddly, but look nice done.

I really loved stitching the roses, they were a joy.

Wipocalypse Blue Moon

On my tablecloth I have finished all the red hearts surrounding the honeycomb Centre.
I have continued with the filling in of the Centre,  still a long way to go.

This is a new start. Dipping my toe into the murky waters of doing a HAED.

A second finish in the flowers SAL. I didn't enjoy the back stitching but it is good to have it done.

The question of the month is " what makes you pick up a long abandoned UFO rather than beginning a new  piece "

The most effective  thing  for me is  to  reorganize my stash. Seeing what I have,  instead of just consulting a list spurs me on to finish some  things.

First July finishes

I knitted this sweater for DH.
The yarn was from a jacket knitted 40 years ago, unravelled, dyed and re knitted.
It is knitted from the top  down and took two weeks to complete.

A quick knit, a child's beanie, the current one was too small.

June Wipocalypse

The question  for the  month is if you stitch more in the summer or the winter.
for me it would be the winter. We are busy over summer with visitors and with our vegetable garden, so I am hoping  for more progress by the  fireside.

I have started my second flower of four on my cushion.

My canvas work has grown with all the sky now being stitched.
I look forward to seeing the progress of others.
