June Wipocalypse

The question  for the  month is if you stitch more in the summer or the winter.
for me it would be the winter. We are busy over summer with visitors and with our vegetable garden, so I am hoping  for more progress by the  fireside.

I have started my second flower of four on my cushion.

My canvas work has grown with all the sky now being stitched.

I look forward to seeing the progress of others.

Wipocalypse May

I have a little stitching finish, from the EMS flower of the month SAL.

I am making cushions, with 4 designs to each cushion.

 

I found this forgotten canvas project in the cupboard. 

I have made progress in just one session. 

Busy September

I have had a productive September.

First finish was a washcloth.

The pattern is from knitpicks.

They have 52 free washcloth patterns being released this year

My next was my first top down sweater knitted for DD#1.

I enjoyed knitting it and the finished sweater fitted perfectly.

The pattern was from ravelry

DGD need some things made for her dolls, so I have finished a nightgown, mattresses and pillows and quilts.

I have one nightgown still to make.

I have finished lots of smaller things, including ribbon embroidered lavender sachets, pincushions, scissor keep, and needle cases.

I have started my Christmas sewing with a child's dress and a toddler dress and jacket

I am looking forward to October being a productive month as well

WIPocalypse march

The ark is now afloat and that is an elephant you can see started at the top.
I am anticipating I can do more stitching now as I have a new pair of glasses so I can actually see the fabric now!

A little more background is finished.
I was anticipating stitching more of the flowers and leaves but couldn't find where all the other coloured wools were.
I have another kit of this ( from a thrift shop) so pulled and sorted the wools from that and then, you guessed it, the missing wool turned up.
So now I have no excuse for poor progress

WIPocalypse January

I signed up for a SAL at http://measi.net/measiblog/2012-wipocalypse/ and we link to our progress each month after the full moon. These are my initial projects.
The small one at the start I hope to finish by the next posting and I will then replace it with another small project or one that is near completion.
The next two I would like to make progress on but am not really expecting finishes as they are big.

This one is done in gobelin stitch on hardanger cloth.

Gobelin stitch is a little challenging to get your head around at the start and produces a different finish, more like woven tapestry.

The Duchess above has the background in Gobelin stitch and her face in petit-point

This design is a carpet border. Although it is printed on the canvas I am working it off the accompanying chart.

I picked up three of these at a thrift shop for an amazing price, all unopened.
I have several of her books so will make four blocks for the centre.

I have finished 2 cot quilts for a family burnt out in the recent bushfires as well as making some needlepoint progress.

This is the German Street scene"Old Rothernburg"now turned into a cushion.

This UFO has been around for many years. This is the first of four tulip blocks.

This is the rest of the centre of the quilt.

The pattern is the Window of Peace by Mary E Dillon.

It is all stained glass style, with the bias all made by hand and all the stitching is by hand also.

I have another nineteen blocks to add the bias strips to.

All the blocks are prepped and basted.
