Endings and beginnings

I have made progress on the 5 quilts that I had cut out.
Here are some blocks from the first quilt that I need to determine the lay out for

My outrageous plan is to have all 5 quilts finished by the end of the week.
I need to start an appliqué marathon and plan to do that  while the Olympics are on

The appliqué is all prepared and ready to go.

I have really enjoyed the Tour de Fibre this year and look forward to repeating it again in future years.

Preparing for the time trial

It doesn't like like a lot but this should be enough fabric cut for 5 quilts ( except for the borders).
I have spent quite a few hours today doing this and now I am ready to head to the machine.

climbing the Pyrenees

Today was mostly about preparation work for the next stage.
I used Inklingo to print triangle pairs that will be made into flying geese.

My old  printer is playing very happily with my new computer so I may do some more printing later today.

The evening has seen some lace knitting.
I am now onto the border of the baby shawl.

sprinting the Alps

I feel like I am trailing the field at the moment so today I am going to be sprinting!

My plan is to finish this mostly fingerless glove today

as well as quilt and bind these 5 baby quilts.

My helmet is on and I am ready to ride

WiPocalypse July

I am so anxious to make progress on this, I think this will be my olympic project

Trying to stitch this while watching the rugby was a mistake as I had to pull out almost as much as I stitched!

Day 4

I have been sprinting hard and I have two more quilts ready to put the binding on

A stage finish

I am very excited that I have finished my quilt.

I am really pleased with the way it turned out.
It is the quilt I have most enjoyed quilting as well because the quilting really enhanced the design.
I am looking forward to making more progress in  the tour today

Tour de fibre

I am joining Hanne and May Britt  in the Tour de Fibre.

Last year I did the Tour De Fleece and had a marvellous time spinning but this year I have a big queue at the sewing machine and need to make good progress.

Here I am at the starting line.

I am quilting a queen sized bargello quilt.
It is  fairly slow progress as there are 20 colours in the quilt and I need to change the quilting thread for each colour but I think that the effort is worth it.

More tomorrow
