I had two practise panels for machine quilting.

I added extra borders that I will leave unquilted for now, so that I have practise space for the future.

This is the total that I have spun up until the first rest day.

five quick finishes

I was asked yesterday for some quilt tops for children so I cut the fabric yesterday, sewed these this morning and delivered them this afternoon.
They looked bright and colourful.

day nine

At last. I have finished the blue fibre. There was 1kg in the bag and it is all spun and plied. It is a rest day for the tour, so I am off to the sewing machine today

A big spinning day and got heaps done. Now a sprint to the line for the last 250g of this fibre

I had a big spinning day yesterday. I have about 400g still to spin

day 6, not much variety

Here is my day 6 spinning, more of the same really. I need to decide if I can grit my teeth and finish this fleece, or sneak in some other colours. I think I will weigh what is left and see how many more bobbins that equates to

This is my spun yarn for day four, more of the blue. I am trying to get a consistent weight.

The small amount of brown is my first attempt at lace weight.

It is not too bad. I have plied two singles. I would now like to try plying three and see how the finished yarn looks.
